“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -Anaïs Nin
My Story
I grew up in North Carolina and completed my undergraduate degree at UNC-Chapel Hill with a major in Psychology and a minor in Women's Studies. My courses in Psychology peaked an interest in mental health and for the next couple years I worked in direct care in the wildness with youth. I then attended Smith College for Social Work and acquired my Master's in Social work. For the years following I worked with children, families and adolescents in western North Carolina and received my License Clinical Social Work.
